The grapevine has it that Apple is going to introduce JAJAH VoIP software in its iPhone services.

The speculation is ripe following JAJAH’s co-founder Daniel Mattes has reportedly said that the company is discussing with Apple over the use of JAJAH software for a mobile phone.

Launched in February this year, the Austria-based JAJAH has emerged as one of the pioneering VoIP set ups challenging Skype, Vonage and other established VoIP players.

On contrary to Skype or Vonage, Austria-based Jajah provides its VoIP services that do not require Internet connection. In other words, the customers do not require a Net-connected phone or headset to make international calls what we say VoIP calls by using Jajah services.

Using this service, the customers can make free or very inexpensive international calls. It is free for the registered users and 2.5 cents for the unregistered customers in America, Japan and European countries. So, there is no contract for VoIP services.

At present, the Jajah client supports only Symbian and Java-enabled cellphones like Nokia N70 and Nokia 6630 (J2ME).
