VoIP service will be easier than before as Microsoft is going to add VoIP technologies to its operating system, desktop applications and server software.

Addressing a Microsoft conference in Tokyo on Monday, Company’s CEO Steve Ballmer said that the company is targeting the market for server software enabling Voice conversations and video conferencing over Internet networks.

He apparently mentioned,

We are going to enter the voice over IP Market (in) the beginning of next year.

From Ballmer’s comment, it is clear that Microsoft is developing VoIP software, which has to be incorporated across the company’s operating system, desktop applications, and server software.

It would be unified with email, video and instant messaging. Until now, Microsoft has released various software with VoIP functionality. However, it was not uniformly available in the Microsoft applications, said Ballmer.
