According to a survey conducted by Amdocs, the carrier service providers of USA and UK are interested to make big investments on IP-based services including VoIP and IP TV in 2007.
Taking responses of 200 industry decision makers in the telecom, cable and satellite industries, the survey points out that the companies would give priority on the customer service and network infrastructure to lead the market.
The top products and services that attract major investments next year are VoIP, estimated to get an investment boost of 76 percent, digital TV (81 percent), IPTV (77 percent) and video contents (71 percent).
Michael Matthews, chief marketing officer at Amdocs explained,
With ongoing market consolidation, continuing industry convergence, and a highly competitive environment, service providers will place an increased focus on the customer experience in 2007.
The aim of the carrier service providers is to build out a full suite of IP-based services, he added.
