US-based SimpleSignal has launched SimpleSIP, a SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) supported Trunk solution that enables any SIP compatible IP-PBX or compatible traditional TDM telephone devices to communicate with the SimpleSignal softswitch.

From Gilbert’s assertion, it is clear that the SimpleSIP stands for seamless voice and data convergence implementing an end-to-end SIP VoIP connection to a network carrier gateway or other SIP-connected enterprises.
It also supports connectivity to the PSTN, Data Connectivity to the Internet and Intra-office and inter-office connections to SIP compatible systems.
