As said earlier, the VoIP giant Skype has released the latest version of its software, Skype 3.0 Beta for Windows this month fulfilling certain features that Skype 2.6 lacked.
Commenting on the release of Skype 3.0, company’s Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Worldwide Operations,Henry Gomez says,
With every release of our software, we want to give people the freedom to explore the boundaries of conversation and make internet calling and ‘live’ online discussions the most natural thing in the world.
The striking features of Skype 3.0 are Click-to-call toolbars for FireFox and Internet Explorer and Public Chat Facility.
Undeniably, the Click-to-call facility is there in the Skype 2.6 version. However, it did not have the plugin support, which the latest version brought into.
The Click-to-call enables users to make VoIP calls to ordinary phone numbers when they are online. It is very simple to use. Simply click on the number and make direct call using SkypeOut.
The Public Chats feature brings a kind of social networking where a user can lead text conversation with 100 users like the audio Skypcasting. A Skype user can begin or participate in a public chat directly from Skype.
